'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Loved Ones of Missing Teens Await Information After Alpine Inferno
The relatives of teens unaccounted for after a devastating inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's ski resort are enduring an excruciating wait for official news and requesting clues about their children via social media.
The inferno engulfed the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Confirmed footage depict the roof structure igniting as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Emergency services have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the victims of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of 40 people and hurt another scores more. Authorities said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been identified, with efforts still underway to identify the remaining few.
In the meantime, families and friends have been taking to online platforms to request information about their missing relatives who were in attendance that evening.
Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For
The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his parent.

The Italian Golf Federation has said that he is no longer with us, without directly referencing the tragedy, paying tribute to a "talented young man who embodied dedication and true sportsmanship."
His father, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An representative has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.
Other Missing Individuals
Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and ended up at the bar.
"A companion informed me they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he they were separated," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.
One of his educators commented, "I remember his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently offer to help out."
Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on that night, according to sources.
Her brother has posted an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
Officials from her other nation say they are closely watching the case.
